News from FI2A class:
Congratulations to our Gr. 2 class for reading the highest average of minutes during the Read-a-thon! Our class will participate in a writing workshop this week!
Oral communication:
This week, our class will learn how to present a poem by acting out the words with expression and intonation. The poem is due to be presented to the class in the week of April 14. Please have your child bring in some props such as a raincoat or an umbrella. If your child is more comfortable acting out the words by singing or creating a puppet show, that's fine (whatever idea works best your child) is always welcome! We will learn the rhymes and decoding the poem in syllables.
Mon imperméable
Sur mon imperméable
y'a une feuille d'érable
Je le porte quand il pleut
Avec mes bottes bleues
Quand le ciel est tout gris
Je prends mon parapluie
La pluie qui tombe du ciel
Moi, je n'ai pas peur d'elle
Science:
We will be investigating this week a science unit on the properties of liquids (e.g. conduct experiments to compare the rate at which different liquids flow and solids (e.g. conduct experiments to find out ways in which solids can be changed.
Don't forget! Friday is our Quiz on "Communities around the World". Library exchange day is on Friday!
